Public Notice is hereby given by the Weaver Civil Service Board that an examination will be given for the following positions:
 
LABORER I
The Laborer I works directly under the Director of Public Works reading meters, operating vehicles, performs light maintenance, repair water lines and perform street repair. Work Sanitation Dept., Assist Operators and Supervisors and other duties as assigned.
Must have valid driver’s license and High School diploma or GED
Pay range: $  10.04/Minimum
 
OPERATOR II
 
The Operator II work directly under the Director of Public Works operating and maintaining the city equipment and doing maintenance of the water system. Class A Driver’s License is required. Will install repair or replace water lines, water meters and fire hydrants.  Take water samples. Prepare reports, maintain streets, right-of-ways and other duties as assigned.  Must have valid driver’s license and High School diploma or GED
Pay range: $  11.56 /Minimum
 
OERATOR III
 
Assist in the installation, maintenance and repairs of the water system.  Perform maintenance of streets and right-of-ways.  Help maintain and monitor water facilities.  Maintain reports, records and form.  CDL License required.  Must have 2 years experience as an Operator II or have equivalent experience.
 
Pay Range:  $  12.61/Minimum
 
PUBLIC WORKS LEAD MAN
 
                Supervise daily operations for Water, Sanitation, Street and Parks/Recreation sections.  Plan and supervise the installation of new water mains, water services, fire hydrants, repair water leaks, maintenance of streets and right-of-ways.  Monitor chlorine residuals throughout the distribution system.  Train, mentor and evaluate employees, both new hires and existing personnel, on proper and safe methods of all operations.
Applicant must; have High School Diploma or GED, valid Driver’s license with a good driver’s record for the last 5 years.  CDL Class A License is required. ADEM Grade II Water Operator Certification is required. 
Pay Range:  $  14.71/Minimum
