The Chief Ladiga Trail, a non-motorized trail, winds its way through downtown and connects Weaver not only with Anniston, Alabama, but also with Smyrna, Georgia along the Silver Comet Trail. Bicyclists can travel almost 100 miles on fully paved rail-trails built on abandoned railroad lines. Weaver City Park provides trail access and an official rest stop for cyclists. Also, a different type of cycling sport takes place in the Park. Races at the Weaver BMX (bicycle motocross) track, sanctioned by the American Bicycle Association, provide exciting competition for local as well as visiting riders.
